Please read and ensure that you have understood these notes before submitting the registration. The Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) will not be held responsible for incorrect entries.
Candidates are required to submit the registration via the HKEAA Online Registration System (online.hkeaa.edu.hk) during the registration period. For school candidates, they should first obtain the school code through their schools and enter the school code during the online registration. Candidates should upload the image of their valid Hong Kong Identity Cards or other identification documents for checking at the time of registration. Candidates must complete the online registration and settle the test fees on or before 18 April 2025 (5:30pm).
Online Registration
Before submitting an online registration, applicants are required to create their own accounts with a valid email address. After the applicant account is activated, applicant should login their account at the Registration Home page (online.hkeaa.edu.hk) and start registration. Applicants submit their entries by inputting the information required through the online registration system during the registration period. A copy of the candidate's Hong Kong Identity Card / Birth Certificate / valid passport / other identification document should be uploaded on the system (For the purpose of verifying the registration information only, and will be destroyed after the application procedures are completed). The test fee must be paid online during registration. The HKEAA will not be held responsible for unsuccessful registration because of technical / network failure. Upon successful application and payment, applicants can log in to their own accounts to view the test registration details.
Access Arrangement
Candidates requesting for access arrangements should submit a written request together with a medical report to the HKEAA by email (ie@hkeaa.edu.hk) at the same time of registration. Completed application must be submitted to the HKEAA on or before 18 April 2025. NO late application will be accepted by the HKEAA after 18 April 2025. The application of access arrangement is subject to Pearson's approval. Please note that the HKEAA does not guarantee all access arrangements requests will be approved and arranged. For enquiries, please contact the HKEAA for further assistance before submitting the registration.
2. Test Dates and Fees
Candidates are only allowed to apply for ONE test level in the same test series.
The Admission Forms stating the exact test date, time and venue will be sent to school candidates through their schools or private candidates by post in early June 2025. Candidates should contact the HKEAA by phone (3628 8787) or by email (ie@hkeaa.edu.hk) if they have not received their admission forms by 6 June 2025. The results statement and certificate of the test will be sent to school candidates through their schools or private candidates by post at the address provided in about 3 months after the tests are concluded. Candidates who have not received their results statements and certificates should contact the HKEAA to track the delivery status within 5 months after mail; otherwise, the results statements and certificates will be regarded as successfully received by the candidates. The results statements and certificates unclaimed for 5 months after mail will be returned to Pearson without further notice. After that, request for lost or unclaimed results statements and certificates will have to be made directly with Pearson by the candidates as applications for replacement of results statements and certificates. Fees will be charged by Pearson directly. Candidates should inform the HKEAA in writing of their new address and contact telephone number if their address has been changed. The HKEAA will not be held responsible for any possible loss, delay or damage in mail causing the need of requesting for replacement of results statements and certificates.
According to Pearson's guideline, the certificate and candidate performance report will only be issued to the candidates for who attend both Writing (Paper 1) and Speaking (Paper 2) Sections and get a passing grade.
Personal data of candidates are used by the HKEAA and the Examination Board for delivery of examination and assessment services. Whether you provide the requested personal data is voluntary. However, if you fail to provide all the data, or if any of the data are inaccurate or incomplete, the HKEAA and the Examination Board may not be able to accept your entry or provide all or part of the examination and assessment services. In compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, access to all personal data will be made available, on payment of a fee, to anyone who can establish his / her right to be informed of such data as are retained by the HKEAA. Please also note that candidates’ personal data / correspondence / other information received by the HKEAA may be referred to the Examination Board concerned for delivery of examination and assessment services and for any of the abovementioned purposes or other directly related purposes. In general, upon completion of an examination or examination series and all the connecting examination services, the HKEAA will transfer all such data to the Examination Board who will then assume full control of such data. By then, candidates should approach the Examination Board direct for their personal data / information handling policies if necessary.

The HKEAA shall not be responsible for any non-performance of duties where such non-performance has been caused by an act of God, labour strike, natural disaster, adverse weather, epidemic, governmental action or intervention, riot or any cause not reasonably foreseeable and beyond the reasonable control of Pearson or the HKEAA.
The HKEAA, including their contractors and subcontractors, shall not be liable to anyone claiming for any damages which are caused by, arising from or otherwise related to the failure of staff members, examination personnel or the examination centres to comply with the examination regulations, policies or procedures.
